The 3rd Annual Greenbrier Valley Winter Music Festival (scroll down for schedule) will take over downtown Lewisburg Saturday, January 31. As the festival grows, more musicians get behind the cause and more venues jump on board. Along with the valley’s most notable and talented musicians and bands, several performers from Fayette and Raleigh counties are joining the festival this year. The festival is also pleased to announce the addition of a sixth venue, the newly opened Asylum, located on E. Randolph Street. The Wild Bean will be the designated “all ages non alcohol” venue. The other venues include the Lewis Theatre, Greenbrier Valley Theater with 2 stages, the Irish Pub with 2 stages, and the Sweet Shoppe.

Cost of admission is a $20 wristband. This band will permit access to all 6 venues and 8 stages. They may be purchased in advance at the GVT Box Office during normal business hours with cash or credit card. On the day of the festival, you may purchase the wristband at any of the venues with cash only. A limited number of wristbands can be bought through SPYREWARDS.com

Keep your eye out for flyers and posters at local businesses and we will have the schedule on LBSPY.COM as soon as it’s out.

The Greenbrier Valley Winter Music Festival was founded in December 2013, to assist local musician, Tim Pyne, after his family’s house was destroyed in a fire shortly before Christmas of that year. The outpouring of support was so overwhelming the first year, that it has continued to, now, it’s 3rd year.

The Winter Music Festival is entirely volunteer run, from the personalities on stage, behind the scenes, at the doors of the venues and the wonderful people who help promote it’s efforts. Because of the support the entire community has given, the Festival has established a mission to aid musicians in unexpected times of hardship and help fund various music related projects in our area. In 2014, for example, the Festival funded Eastern Greenbrier Middle School’s percussion cabinet for aspiring music students to use for years to come, in the late Michael Osborne’s memory.

We thank all your support and we look forward to seeing you at the festival!
